Description

An original vintage 30s to 40s men's wool bathing suit made by BVD. It is a possibility that the two pieces were originally individually purchased; the bottoms are a size 34 while to top is a size 38. Both of the tags are exactly alike except for the size number. The bottoms are dark brown with a ribbed vertical stripe pattern while the top is dark camel tan with a honeycomb pattern. The bottoms have a built in white cotton with a design belt that is adjustable by the silver metal buckle and the bottoms themselves being slightly stretchable. They also have a decorative white and brown cotton trim band on each side. An adorable BVD logo, green seahorse holding a tiny pair of opera glasses in the sewn on applique!! And a thick white waffle cotton lining in the front. The top has a slight stretch also and the wool is softer than the bottoms.Both pieces have the center metal Talon zipper (it well working) to be detached from each other. I consider this suit to be in exceptional condition; there is only 3 very small moth holes in the front. There is no fading, no pulls; I believe they may have never been worn!! Being a size 34 bottoms, they are very small. Laying flat, the bottoms are 24" waist and hips 26". Please ask questions before bidding. Have a great day!
